Open Participants: We are going to do a quick limited run of some team t-shirts and tanks. We'll pay for part of the shirts to reduce the cost to $10 (since you guys have already paid to participate in the open). If you want one to show your team spirit, we'll post a sign up at the gym--get me your sizes (and if you want the tank or t-shirt) by this SUNDAY. Thanks! Anyone else who would like one of these can order one for $20. We're just doing one batch of these, so get your order in if you'd like one.
We are so stoked to release our first CrossFit Open Yoga recovery video on YogiWOD.com today! Check it out, get some relief, and perform harder and faster next week! Stay tuned for more every week during the Open season. The CrossFit open is upon us! The YogiWOD crew wants to help you recover quickly and effectively from these high intensity workouts. In this six part series, Debbie will guide you through her signature cool down sequence, starting at the beginning and adding on each Monday during the Open. After all six videos are released they can be practiced in order from 1-6 for a perfect cool down/recovery sequence. They can also be used individually after a high intensity workout or on a rest day. In this first video of the series, Debbie guides you through some cooling spinal release poses like bridge, reclined cobbler's pose, and supine twists. These shapes are perfect for after lifting heavy objects at a constantly varied high intensity.
"In the end, my friends were absolutely right. Being a part of the Open has already taught me that while I’m a newbie, I’m also a CrossFit athlete. And while my palms sweat at the thought of what 14.2 may bring, I can’t wait to give it everything I have."
Happy Birthday to one of the strongest souls we know, Sherown Campbell. His mom posted a few pics of him and we had to share. It's pretty obvious Sherown has always been and athlete and we are certain he always will be. Hopefully he can join us again soon so we can celebrate with him! Happy Birthday #mightymouse
